Eugene Clark
Michigan & Kentucky
Baptist Pastor

Eugene Clark was born in Carlisle County, KY on January 14, 1920. He attended the local schools. He married Armona (Mona) Ward and they had four children: Ron, Philip, Rhoda and Kent.

He pastored locally the Beech Grove and Zoar Baptist Churches and developed into a powerful preacher. As many families from western Kentucky were moving to the Detroit, Michigan area following the Second World War, he and his family moved there for him to become pastor of Grace Baptist Church (est. 1953), in Warren. The church sponsored many missionaries and a missions conference annually which usually lasted nearly a week and featured preachers from several states and missionaries from several countries to preach.

He later moved to the McCracken County area of western Kentucky and established the Faith Missionary Baptist Church of Paducah in 1974, organized out of Zoar Baptist Church of Carlisle County, Kentucky. The church sponsors a missions conference annually which attracted many to attend. He spent the remainder of his ministry at this church. He died on December 18, 2006 and was buried in the Woodland Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Paducah.
