Sister Walker Expires

On Saturday morning, December 30, [1967] at about 5:00 a.m., Sister Glorenna Margaret Walker went home to be with her Lord. She had been in ill health for several years and had been in the Teresa Ann Nursing Home for about two years. Brother Walker is holding up well under this additional burden but the Lord's grace is sufficient. He needs the prayers of God's people as he is continuing to decline in health.

Sister Walker was a faithful, dedicated pastor's wife, having taught a Sunday school class since she was about 16 years of age, and having been publications secretary for the church for many years. She was loved and honored by all who knew her for her outstanding: Christian spirit and attitude.

She is survived by her husband, Bro. Clarence Walker, and three daughters, Mrs. S. J. Stokes, Jr., Mrs. W. K. Johnson, and Mrs. Charles B. Gentry, all of Lexington; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Even though Sister Walker has gone to be with her Lord, her influence and precious memories will linger on upon this earth until the Lord comes.
